Collins Idehen, Executive Chef

Executive Chef Collins Idehen was born and raised in England and seasoned as a Chef in restaurants throughout Europe and the United States. He brings to the Renaissance Waterford Oklahoma City Hotel a unique blend of classic elegance, bold flavors and a genuine joy of his art.

Formerly Executive Chef at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel and Spa, his experience and professionalism was hailed ‘outstanding’ and the meals he creates ‘the talk of the town.’

Idehen’s passion for cooking began at age 16 while working at a small eatery in East London. He attended the Rotary International Catering School in England and while working in Europe, studied with numerous world-known Master Chefs including Georges Guerand and Victor Blanc.

Chef later received a Business Administration degree from Texas Southern University and honed his culinary skills in the kitchens of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and the five-star, five-diamond Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta.

Idehen was part of the management team that opened the prestigious 1,000-room Renaissance Grand Hotel in St. Louis and was also nominated for Chef of the Year as Executive Chef at the historic Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. Additionally he has cooked for three U.S. presidents and numerous celebrities including Will Smith, Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey.

Always striving to stay at the top of his culinary game, Chef Idehen seeks to ‘wow’ guests with flavors that speak for themselves.

KYLE LIPPE, Director of Food & Beverage

Kyle Lippe, Director of Food & Beverage at Renaissance Waterford Oklahoma City Hotel oversees overall hotel culinary operations, including Ember Modern American Tavern to ensure consistently exceptional dining experiences.

Kyle brings an acute understanding of the Oklahoma culinary marketplace. His 17+ years of food and beverage leadership experience includes management roles at Rose Creek Golf and Country Club in Edmond OK, Mahogany Prime Steakhouse, Lit Bar and Fox & Hound plus the opening of five new restaurants.

Leading passionate culinary teams is his passion. Under Kyle’s direction, Ember Modern American Tavern guests will enjoy creative interpretations of classic American fare while embracing a brand new local culinary identity.
